Penny’s bio

Penny Lorber is a designer, artist and generator of endless ideas.

She is the Founder and Creative Director of Ethera, a creative agency with expertise in digital design, branding, system thinking and immersive experience design. In her role at Ethera, Penny leads the team, the ideation of creative concepts and the execution of multi-disciplinary projects. She nurtures meaningful relationships with clients and completes an assortment of hidden minutia that ensures the company runs smoothly.

Penny believes in making the abstract reality with daring and barrier breaking work. Her approach to design is a can-do attitude and she searches for unique solutions true to the character of the people, companies and projects she works with.

Penny has been fortunate to design with renowned studios like Moving Brands, Meta and WIRED magazine, and has had the privilege of working with top caliber companies like Starbucks, Nike, Facebook, YouTube, Google and MTV.

She has been storytelling since before storytelling became a buzzword—through journalism, video, motion graphics, design, branding, painting and her latest favorite, multi-sensory installations.

Penny currently splits her work time between Ethera and select freelance projects. When not working, Penny is off the computer, absorbed in nature or getting her hands dirty with her life’s passion in the arts—oil painting, sculpture, pen and ink.
